I made the journey to Piazza Armerina and the Villa Romana over the Thanksgiving holiday. The villa is an active archaeological sight, and truly an inspiring place to visit.

This train track is not far from my house. A small train, with only two cars, travels back and forth. I can watch from my balcony. It blows a whistle that sounds like a toy train as is passes.

These little boys  continuously kicked the soccer ball into the main street, causing cars to come to a screeching hault.  I guess this was the only place that they had to play.  They seemed to be having a lot of fun.
